Application: Either vaporized or nebulized

Onset: Seconds to minutes

Lasts: 2-4 hours

Orally Ingested

Products: Liquid elixirs, pills, capsules

Application: Swallowed

Onset: ½ hour-2 hours

Lasts: 5-12 hours

Topically Applied

Products: Patches, gels, creams, ointments

Application: Massaged into/placed on skin

Onset: 15-40 minutes

Lasts: 2-4 hours
