Driver accused of DUI hit-and-run in Chestnuthill

State Police at Fern Ridge say a woman fled after striking two pedestrians in the parking lot of the American Legion in Gilbert.

The incident occurred just after midnight on Nov. 5.

According to a press release, at 12:30 a.m. that day, police responded to a one-vehicle hit-and-run crash with two pedestrians struck.

Police determined that 61-year-old Joanne V. Anello was driving the 2013 Hyundai Sonata believed to have been involved.

One victim, identified as an 85-year-old, was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono with unknown injuries. A 26-year-old man was also struck. Information on their conditions was not available.

Police said they intend to charge Anello with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
