Driver cited after Schuylkill crash

A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that was reported at 12:46 a.m. on March 13 along Highridge Park Road in Butler Township.

State police at Frackville said John T. Veen, 33, of Port Carbon, was driving a 2007 Cadillac CTS southbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went onto the west berm and struck a PPL utility pole head-on. The vehicle came to rest in a grassy area along the west berm facing north. The vehicle had to be towed.

Veen, who was not injured, received multiple traffic citations, troopers said.
