Driver dies of heart attack, crashes on Route 903

A 76-year-old Effort man died this morning when he had a heart attack and crashed on Route 903 Thursday morning.
Carbon County Coroner Robert Miller said Joseph Duszak’s wife said he slumped over the wheel and ran off the road and down an embankment in Kidder Township. CPR was performed at the scene. He was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s -Lehighton campus. His wife was not injured.
The crash occurred about 11:30 a.m., just feet from the Monroe County border.
Kidder Township Police are investigating the incident.
