A 17-year-old Kunkletown boy and three passengers escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 8:01 p.m. Saturday on Dotter’s Corner Road in Polk Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was driving a 2007 Mercedes-Benz northbound and was negotiating a left-hand curve when he swerved, left the travel lane and hit a tree.

Police said the car sustained heavy front and rear-end damages and was towed from the scene.

Neither the driver nor three 16-year-old boys, from Effort, Kunkletown and Saylorsburg, were injured.

Police said the driver was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
