Driving with no license

Published March 30. 2018 10:59PM

Tamaqua police cited Ryan Kiser, 30, of 409 Washington St., Tamaqua, for driving without a license on March 23.

An officer on patrol at 3 p.m. identified a green 2000 Mitsubishi as having an expired license. He made a traffic stop and identified Kiser as the driver.

Kiser admitted he didn’t have a valid driver’s license, which was suspended for driving under the influence. He also said he knew the registration was expired but recently bought the car. He also admitted never taking care of the title transfer. The car’s inspection expired in January 2016 and there was no proof of insurance.

A records check found two previous cases where Kiser was convicted of driving with a suspended license.

He was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, driving with an expired inspection and driving an unregistered vehicle.
