Drug raid in Lansford
A National Guard helicopter seen flying over the Panther Valley Friday morning was not related to Shawn Christy, but part of a drug investigation, police said.
Lansford Police Department posted on Facebook that the helicopter was assisting with a drug enforcement operation in the borough.
The 300 block of Patterson Street (Route 209) was closed for about an hour before reopening around 7 a.m.
A helicopter from the Pennsylvania National Guard was seen circling around the borough around 6 a.m.
Lansford Police referred further comment to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, whose Bureau of Narcotics Investigation conducted the raid.
