The East Penn Township Board of Supervisors reorganization and regular meeting was held this week. William G. Schwab was re-elected as chairman, and newly elected Supervisor Dennis L. Pearson was welcomed to the ranks, replacing Deanna L. Cunfer, who did not seek reappointment.

Alice I. Berger, Gary Kuehner and John M. Strockoz remained on the board.

Jillyan A. Sterling retained her position as the township secretary, and William Donovan retained his position as township treasurer. Robert Kleintop Jr. retained his position as fire chief of East Penn Township Fire Company, and Brenden McArdle retained his position as assistant fire chief.

Brandon Bradford will continue his position as roadmaster, and Robert S. Frycklund retained his position as township solicitor. In the designation of supervisors, Strockoz and Kuehner will oversee roads, Schwab will oversee finance and administration, Pearson will oversee planning/zoning, and Berger will oversee the community center.

In regular business, the board reminded the public that Township Ordinance 2005-6 states that it is “illegal to deposit, plow, push or shovel snow onto public roadways.”

A $1,000 fine per violation will be enforced through the district justice.

In reviewing the road projects for 2020, various surveys have begun. Cunfer Road may not belong to the township, so the supervisors are investigating ownership before vacating the property.
