Effort woman injured after being struck by vehicle

An Effort woman was injured after she was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred at 6:13 p.m. along Route 209 when a pedestrian, Julisa Cassese, 21, was struck by a Toyota Rav4 in the area of Rodenbach Lane.

Police said Cassese was injured and transported to a local trauma center.

The vehicle sustained minor front end damage.

No more information was available because police said the crash report isn’t yet complete.

A pedestrian was also injured Monday night along Route 209. That report was also not available from state police.
