Elderly woman struck by vehicle in Schuylkill, killed
An elderly woman was struck by a vehicle and killed Wednesday evening in Schuylkill County.
State police at Schuylkill Haven identified the victim as Alice Donmoyer, 84, of Tremont Road in Pine Grove Township.
Troopers said Donmoyer was struck just after exiting a bus and a few steps from her home. She attempted to cross Tremont Road, near the intersection with Shultz Road, about 6:32 p.m. from the west shoulder to the east shoulder.
She was struck by a vehicle operated by Dustin Minnich, 27, of Pine Grove Township. He was uninjured.
Donmoyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers said the investigation into the incident is continuing.
