Employee theft incident investigated

State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft at a Monroe County business in which an employee is the suspect.

Troopers said on Dec. 13 around 2 p.m., they responded to an unnamed business along Silver Spring Boulevard in Eldred Township for a theft report.

Upon investigation troopers said it was determined that an employee of the business used a company credit for about $10,000 in unauthorized charges.

The investigation is continuing.
