Expecting better
I hope the commissioners will not be waiting for a thank-you card after the 20 percent tax bomb they dropped on us as they go out the door, especially from the seniors. I doubt anyone else thinks that kind of increase is normal, even if the rate increase is only every five years. How much was the increase five years ago?
I also don’t believe the reasons they listed for the need. My guess is very big legal expenses and engineering costs for buildings that don’t happen are the real reason. I guarantee that the taxpayer is going to expect this new class of commissioners to do a lot better.
