Extensive damages to equipment

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating extensive damages done to construction equipment at a Schuylkill County site.

Troopers said the incident occurred in the area of Blackwood Drive and Dee Dee Street (Route 125) in Reilly Township. Troopers said on Monday, around 7 a.m., they were dispatched to the referenced area where they were met by a superintendent for Miller Brothers Construction, of Schuylkill Haven. He told troopers that sometime between 11 a.m. on Saturday and 5:45 a.m. on Monday, someone vandalized several pieces of motorized construction equipment owned by Arthur Aungst Excavating Inc., of Pine Grove, as well as two equipment trailers belonging to Miller Brothers.

Troopers said damages potentially are in the “tens of thousands of dollars.” The exact amount has not yet been determined. Seven pieces of equipment were damaged.
