Fayash reappointed to head Schuylkill Township board
The Schuylkill Township Board of Supervisors held its reorganization meeting for 2019 on Monday. There are not many changes, as Charles Fayash was once again appointed chairman of the board of supervisors.
Charles Hosler was appointed as vice chairman. Colleen Barrett will be retained as secretary-treasurer at a rate of $13 an hour for 27 hours per week. She will also retain 2 percent of garbage fees collected and have a $150 monthly stipend for personal vehicle usage.
Township auditors will be paid $10 an hour.
Charles Hosler was reappointed to the position of roadmaster.
Mark Buccieri will be paid $17 per hour for all maintenance and plowing work.
Frank Fabrizio was appointed as police liaison.
Police Chief Frank DiMarco was reappointed township code enforcement officer. DiMarco was also retained as police chief and Anthony Stanell was retained as sergeant, both part-time positions. The pay rate is $17 an hour for police personnel and they are to work a combined total of 40 hours per week for the entire department.
Thomas Slane was appointed as emergency management coordinator and Dennis Harris is the deputy emergency management coordinator.
Solicitor Christopher Slusser was appointed as legal counsel for the township at a rate of $90 per hour.
Alfred Benesch was retained as the township’s engineering company.
William Brior was appointed as sewage enforcement officer and Samantha Brior is the alternate sewage enforcement officer.
All supervisors and the township secretary will attend the PSATS convention in Hershey on April 14-17. Barrett will be the voting delegate at the convention.
