Federal judge to sentence far-right extremist in gun case

WASHINGTON (AP) — A 30-year-old man whose relatives reported concerns about his behavior and far-right extremist rhetoric after last year’s Pittsburgh synagogue massacre awaits sentencing for his conviction on a federal gun charge.

Jeffrey Clark Jr. is scheduled to be sentenced Friday by U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly in Washington, D.C. Clark pleaded guilty in July to illegal possession of a firearm.

Federal prosecutors have recommended a 10-month prison sentence. Clark, who has been jailed for 10 months since his arrest, could be eligible for immediate release if Kelly agrees with prosecutors’ recommendation.

The FBI said Clark is a white nationalist who followed Pittsburgh synagogue shooting suspect Robert Bowers on social media and referred to him as a “hero” in a post after the October shooting that killed 11 people.

"Far Right"
How do these racists get placed in the "Right" camp?
Noun: "the extreme right wing of a political party or group"
I denounce such a batching. I thought an ultra conservative, patriot, nationalist and fundamental Christian would be far right. How did the right get to be white supremacy?
This isn't accurate, unless you're throwing mud and lies around?
The AP? Naw...
He was a self described white nationalist, active on "Gab" which is universally known as the alt-right social media platform and attended the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville yet you think the AP's characterization of him being on the right is inaccurate?

Please reference Brian Patrick Mitchell's work on the modern political spectrum to see where white nationalism lies on the spectrum
I'll do that.
I'm honestly confused by that. I'm white, and I love my country. I consider myself a patriot and think nationalism is a good thing. I would have thought I was a white nationalist.
Nationalism: identification with one's own nation and support for its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment.
Nationalist: a person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations.
White, White person - a member of the Caucasoid race.
I'm a White Nationalist. As defined above, nothing to do with hate, supremacy, racism, ethnocentrism, nothing of it.
I'll have to re-educate myself. Is there a government camp that they could send me to?
White nationalism is a rejection of people based on race and a belief that America’s greatness depends on Europe-whiteness. I am white, I love my country, but I value the contributions of all regardless of race...that’s the difference. I also believe as a Christian that we should be a safe haven for those escaping oppression, regardless of race or religion....again not white nationalist.
Joe,
Mitchel's Political Spectrum Quiz has me center-right moderate social authoritarian.
I didn't spend much time answering though. Good thing I'm not a White Nationalist eh?
