Fern and Melvin McLean of Lansford celebrate 70 years

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin McLean of Lansford recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple was married Oct. 18, 1947, at Heidelberg Union Church in Germansville.

Mrs. McLean is the former Fern Hill.

The McLeans have two daughters: Ginger Steinhilber of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Jodi, wife of Robert Speshok of Northampton.

They have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration luncheon with family and friends to honor the occasion was held recently at the Top of the 80’s in Hazleton.
