Fern ridge incidents

Fern Ridge Police report on the following incidents:

• Anthony Rivera, 32, of Tobyhanna, was cited by police with possession of a controlled substance after a 2019 Dodge Charger he was driving was stopped at 4:27 p.m. Nov. 25 on Route 115 in Tobyhanna Township.

Police said the man advised them he had marijuana inside the vehicle’s center console.

• Dylan Smith, 24, of Effort, is facing disorderly conduct charges as a result of an incident at 1:03 p.m. Nov. 24 along Gum Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said they were summoned there to investigate a man yelling and pounding on multiple doors on multiple homes in the area.

Upon arrival, police found Smith sitting on the front porch of a residence, rocking back and forth. Police said he admitted to drug use in the prior 24 hours and said he needed medical attention.

Police said an ambulance was dispatched to transport Smith from the scene.

• Police were summoned to investigate a violation of a protection from abuse case along View Court in Chestnuthill Township at 7:43 a.m. Nov. 26.

Police said a 31-year-old man from Saylorsburg, who has the PFA order, told them his ex-girlfriend attempted to engage in conversation via text messaging.

Police said they referred the incident to the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas as an indirect criminal complaint.

• A New York man was cited for control of alarm devices and automatic dialing devices/false alarms after state police at the Fern Ridge barracks were summoned to a home he owns on Idlewood Drive, Chestnuthill Township, at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 20.

Police said the false activation of the alarm at the residence was the fourth such call there this year.

• Djon Williams, 21, of Pittsburgh, was arrested for drug possession after he was found to have marijuana in his possession when he was stopped by police at 6:17 p.m. Nov. 25.

Police said he was stopped on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township and had 31 grams of marijuana in his possession.
