Fillies’ Brutto gets 700th career win
Marian’s Paul Brutto recorded his 700 career coaching victory in the Fillies rout of Lincoln Leadership Academy on Monday.
In other girls action, Weatherly and Lehighton also posted wins.

Brutto’s milestone victory came in dominant fashion as Marian jumped out to an early double digit lead and cruised to the 64-27 non-league win.
Brutto, who is now in his 27th year with the Fillies after a 10-year stint at Shenandoah, has 554 of those victories at Marian.
Emily Shaud led the Fillies (3-0) with 13 points. Alexa Murray chipped in nine points.
Ramsey Rodriguez poured in a game-high 17 points to lead Lincoln Leadership.

Four Lehighton Middle School wrestlers placed in the Pine Grove Tournament.
Austin Kern finished first in his weight class, while Nick Ziegenfuss and Lucas Ferguson both had third-place finishes.
Nathan Holmberg added a fourth-place finish fourth.
9TH GRADE BASKETBALL

Richard Torrino scored 11 points to help Lehighton gain a 46-36 win over Marian.
The Indians also received nine points from Braydeh Lutz.
Julian Richert had 10 points and Luke Walser nine to lead the Colts.

Pottsville defeated Tamaqua, 37-28.
Steven Hoffman had nine points to lead the Raiders.
