Fire destroys home, cars in Chestnuthill
Fire swept through a Chestnuthill home early Friday morning, displacing five people.
Fire crews were dispatched to the fully involved two-story home at 230 Ridge Court shortly before 4 a.m. They remained on the scene battling the fire for four hours.
West End Fire Company was assisted by Blue Ridge Hook & Ladder Company, Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co. and Polk Township Volunteer Fire Co.
The fire was believed to have started in the garage.
A gofundme account has been set up for Teri Buerkle and her family. They lost everything including their two cars.
The Red Cross is assisting the four adults and one child displaced in the fire.
