A home was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning in Nesquehoning.

The blaze was first reported just after 6 a.m. in a home above a garage in the first block of West Mussmano Ave.

The fire appeared to have started in the garage and quickly spread to the house.

Fire companies from Nesquehoning, Jim Thorpe, Lansford and Summit Hill responded as well as the Mahoning Valley ambulance.

I remain proud to have taken part in the suppression with my fellow Firefighters who did an absolutely wonderful job! Everyone Goes Home! Bravo to the 13 House and the mutual aid!
