Flag blessing to be held in Lansford

St. John’s Slovak Lutheran Church on the corner of Abbott and Tunnel Street in Lansford will be hosting a flag blessing on June 1 from 1-2 p.m.

This event is in observance of Flag Day on June 14.

Anyone who owns an American, state, military or first responder flag is invited to attend the event. A blessing will be given to each flag, which will be recited by Pastor Marjorie Keiter. There will be no service.

The event is free.

Carbon County Navy Club Ships 260 is sponsoring the event.

All veteran organizations and Panther Valley JROTC are invited as well.
