Flag etiquette

To the editor:

With Memorial Day, Flag Day and July 4 rapidly approaching, it is time to get out our flags and proudly display them. This shows love of country and respect for every serviceman and servicewoman from the Revolutionary War to the present.

There are individuals, unfortunately, who display faded and tattered flags. This shows either a lack of respect for anybody who has worn a uniform and/or a lack of flag etiquette knowledge.
