Flag program held at Panther Valley Library

    The Panther Valley Public Library in Lansford hosted a program on the American flag recently. Robert Siesputowski and Scott Reinhart, back row, from the Carbon County Navy Club gave the presentation. Cub Scouts from Pack 765 in Lansford, Daisies from Girl Scout Troop 34285 in Nesquehoning, members from Lansford Legion Post 123, and area residents were in attendance. The presenters discussed the history of the flag, examples of earlier flags, and asked the children to demonstrate how to properly fold a flag while discussing the meaning of the 13 folds.
