Fleeing driver ends up in pond

A Schuylkill County driver who fled police ended up with his vehicle in a pond.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said troopers attempted to stop a vehicle along Sweet Arrow Lake Road at Pine Hill Road, in Pine Grove Township, about 10:57 p.m. on Jan. 10. for a traffic violation. The driver failed to stop and fled for about 5 miles. The pursuit ended when the driver drove his vehicle into a pond.

The driver was identified as Tyler Nornhold, 22, of Pine Grove. It was learned that Nornhold also had outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was then taken into custody.
