Flood watch in effect through Monday night

A flood watch remains in effect from 2 am Sunday through Monday evening.

The remnant low of Gordon will track north and west of our region later Sunday and Monday. Some areas of mainly light rain will evolve into a prolonged period of moderate to at times heavy rain later tonight and especially Sunday into Monday. A total of 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected throughout the watch area with some locally higher amounts possible.

Tonight: Rain likely, mainly after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 54. Northeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Sunday: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 59. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 56. East wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Monday: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. High near 69. East wind 11 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then showers and thunderstorms likely between 8pm and 2am, then showers likely after 2am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Cloudy, with a low around 65. East wind around 6 mph becoming south after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
