Four former Times News area football players were named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division all-conference teams.

Panther Valley graduate and Shippensburg junior Richard Nase was a First Team selection on defense, while Pleasant Valley grads Dakota Everett, Sekou Jones, and Dean Krcic were Second Team selections on defense. Everett and Jones both played linebacker for East Stroudsburg, while Krcic was Kutztown’s punter.

Nase is a three-time All-PSAC defensive end, earning First Team status in 2015 and Second Team in 2016. The former Panther totaled 35 tackles, including 10 for loss and 5.5 sacks. He ranked among the top 10 in the conference in sacks.

Everett, a senior who transferred from Stony Brook before the 2016 season, led the Warriors with 101 tackles. He also had 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and four blocked kicks. He was third in the PSAC with 10.1 tackles per game and posted double-digit tackles in six of his final seven games, including 16 against Cheyney on Sept. 30.

Jones, also a senior, earned second-team status in 2015. This past season, he was third on the team in tackles with 75. He had seven tackles for loss, including a sack, and had two forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries.

Krcic, a redshirt-freshman for the Golden Bears, recorded an average of 42.3 yards per punt, which ranked third in the PSAC and 10th in all of Division II. The Saylorsburg native had 17 of his 47 punts downed inside the 20 and had 12 punts of 50-plus yards.
