The former Klingaman’s Stationery Store at 124 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, has been sold.

According to court records, the new owner is PARA Builders LLP of Nazareth.

The building was purchased for $45,000 on Dec. 28, 2017.

The Klingaman family, which was established in 1950, purchased the Broad Street building in 1979, housing retail sales, warehouse space, a full-service department and corporate offices. The successful stationery business expanded to a Pottsville location in 1992.

In 2015 the business was sold to W.B. Mason, which concentrated its business on the Pottsville location, leaving the Tamaqua store empty and unattended.

Efforts to reach the new owner were unsuccessful, but PARA Builders is reportedly in the computer application/software business. Its Nazareth location has been in business for approximately five years.
