Four area girls players on CL soccer First Team

Three Northwestern players and one Northern Lehigh player were recently selected to the Colonial League Girls Soccer First Team all-star squad.

The Tigers, who won a district championship and reached the league playoffs, were represented on the First Team by senior defender Abby Chisdak and junior midfielders Maggie Motolese and Jessie Williamson.

The Bulldogs’ Jill Olewine, a senior forward, was also named to the First Team.

Second Team honors went to two area players — Palmerton senior forward Jenna Blynn and Northwestern junior forward Sara Hathaway.

Palmerton’s Madison Balliet and Northwestern’s Bailey Groff were selected as Honorable Mention choices.
