A Frackville man has been charged with possession of heroin.

On the afternoon of March 19, Buck was contacted to assist State Parole in the 300 block of Lafayette Avenue, where a man identified as Dennis Foy, 35, a state parole absconder, was allegedly staying.

Upon arrival, Buck was advised that Foy had departed before police arrival.

As all units continued around the area, state parole agents requested Palmerton Police Department respond back to the area at 4:45 p.m., where upon arrival, Foy had been taken into custody by state parole agents.

Upon performing a search on Foy, two waxen baggies containing a white powdery substance that was later found to be heroin was located in his pocket, as well as a hypodermic needle.

Foy faces charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing May 29 before District Judge William Kissner of Palmerton.
