Franklin hears complaints on speeding

Published March 21. 2019 12:46PM

Speeding is an issue in the Union Hill section of Franklin Township.

Several residents told the township’s board of supervisors on Tuesday that the speeding is taking place in the area of Circle Drive.

Scott Rhodes, Travis Nothstein and Cindy Nothstein asked supervisors what can be done about people “flying around” that area.

The group said the speeding has been going on for several years, and happens at all times of the day.

They said there’s one person in particular whom they have asked to slow down, but that she refuses to do so.

On top of that, the group told supervisors that the person lets her Chihuahuas run wild as well.

Supervisor Robin Cressley told the group the township would discuss the matter with police.

“Before we think of a speed bump, let us check with our officers,” Cressley said.

Board Chairman Jason Frey assured the group that supervisors will run the matter by police.

“We’ll definitely talk to our police,” Frey said.
