Franklin hires additional full-time police officer

Franklin Township has brought back a familiar face to round out its police force.

The township’s board of supervisors unanimously agreed on Tuesday to hire Michael Fedor as a full-time police officer.

Fedor was hired at the rate of $23.53 an hour, retroactive to Oct. 8.

With the hire, the township now has four full-timers, including police Chief Jason Doll, and six part-timers.

Fedor most recently worked as a full-time officer with the Palmerton Borough Police Department.

Before that, he had served as a part-time officer with the township.
