Franklin presents annual contribution to fire company
Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company has received its annual contribution from the township’s board of supervisors.
Supervisors presented the contribution in the amount of $36,000 to township fire Chief Lynn Diehl at Tuesday’s meeting.
Diehl thanked the board, and in turn, the board reciprocated its appreciation to the fire company for all it does for the community.
After the meeting, Diehl said the money would eventually be used toward the fire company’s emergency vehicles.
More specifically, he said it would go toward the replacement of trucks.
“It’s great,” Diehl said. “We wouldn’t be able to afford our trucks if they wouldn’t contribute.”
