Franklin teams get wins

Franklin Township teams posted recent victories in both the Panther Valley 9-10 and 11-12 Little League tournaments.

FT White gained a win in the 11-12 tourney, while FT Maroon was victorious in a 9-10 contest.

FT White-Anthracite

Franklin Township White posted an 8-3 victory over Anthracite.

Varick Peiffer had three hits and one RBI to lead Franklin.

Isaac Carpenter and Jake Lewis both contributed two hits.

Aiden Albert (two RBIs), Braylon DeJesus (two RBIs), Derek Behler, Keyden Ahner, Jesse Waksmunski and Kieler Kemmerer all finished with one hit apiece.

Blake Roberts pitched 4 2/3 innings to pick up the win. Of the 14 outs he recorded, 11 of them came via the strikeout.

Weatherly

Cole Dietz and Jayse Lawrence each had two hits and scored three runs to lead Franklin Township Maroon to a 10-0 victory over Weatherly.

Aiden Solt, Cody Snyder, and Zoltan Bedocs also had one hit apiece for Franklin.

Carter Bellis earned the win, throwing three innings and striking out six.
