• Faith Alive Church in Bowmanstown will serve Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 23. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Dinner will be served from 1-3 p.m. All are welcome to share this dinner. • Meed’s Memorial United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, will host a free Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 24. Seating times are at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. To make reservations for the Thanksgiving dinner, call the church at 570-669-9212 and leave your name, contact number and the number of people in your party.
• St. Mark’s and St. John’s Episcopal Church, 21 Race St., Jim Thorpe, will host a free community Thanksgiving dinner from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 24 in the great hall. Donations for Family Promise will be accepted. For more information, call 570-325-2241.
• Nov. 27: Living Hope Lighthouse Church Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Palmerton, 6 to 8 p.m.
• Nov. 28: American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert Annual Open Community Thanksgiving Dinner, noon to 4 p.m.
• Verona Pizza House and the Lehighton Fire Company will be sponsoring a free community Thanksgiving meal from noon to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day at the Lehighton Community Recreation Center, at 243 S. Eighth St., in Lehighton. Drinks will be provided by Zimmerman’s Dairy.
