Furnace starts house fire in Mahoning
A quick response by Mahoning Valley firefighters saved a home Sunday morning along Laurel Road. The fire was reported just after 10 a.m. at 64 Laurel Road. When first responders arrived on scene they found a furnace on fire in the basement of the home which they extinguished quickly. They then spent time clearing the smoke from the home.
