Garritano headed to Thaddeus Stevens
Jim Thorpe’s TJ Garritano will be continuing his academic and athletic career at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
A three-year varsity player for the Olympians’ football team, Garritano will be majoring in residential construction.
The future Bulldog made 83 tackles, including 56 solo, from his linebacker position this past season. He also had six sacks, blocked three field goals, caused three fumbles, had an interception and scored a defensive touchdown.
Garritano, the son of TJ and Amy Garritano, was named Jim Thorpe’s Defensive MVP and was selected to the Times News All-Star team as a linebacker. He also made the First Team of the Schuylkill North Team.
