Heavy rain could cause ponding on roads

Some downpours early this morning may result in pounding of water on roadways and some flooding of poor drainage areas.

The latest forecast:

Tuesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m., then isolated showers between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 86. West wind 3 to 6 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. Light southwest wind.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
