Hit-and-run driver sought

State police at Schuylkill Haven are looking for a hit-and-run driver who fled a crash scene in Schuylkill County on Friday morning.

Troopers said a vehicle was driven southbound on Fearnot Road in Hubley Township at 8:35 a.m. when the operator failed to negotiate a left curve and lost control. The vehicle traveled through the south/northbound lanes and onto the east berm. It then traveled along the east berm for about 46 feet before striking a mailbox. The left front of the vehicle hit the mailbox.

After impact with the mailbox the vehicle continued another 70 feet in a field before re-entering the road and traveling southbound.
