Holiday Thoughts
The holiday season brings joy to people
but it can also cause some to be stressed
The Christmas card list is long, all those envelopes must be addressed!
Do we buy our gifts online or choose to fight the crowds and stand in lines?
Correct sizes? Right colors? We feel like we are losing our minds.
There is the tree to decorate with ornaments and lights
And don’t forget the cookies to bake and other sweet delights.
For many the holidays also means they will travel,
Oh No! More stress; hoping their plans do not unravel.
Children hope that Santa will bring their Christmas cheer,
While adults may find theirs with wine, whiskey, or beer.
Try to focus on what is special for both Christmas and the New Year
It is the time we get to spend with those we hold dear.
Our family and friends whether close by or far away,
Are the true gifts we receive, not just on Christmas, but everyday.
I hope for you all that your holiday wishes come true
And may the spirit of Christmas fill your hearts in all that you do.
