Incident at former mall under investigation

A trespass incident at the former Schuylkill Mall site in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County, is being investigated.

State police at Frackville said a white man was observed inside the fenced area of the former mall by construction workers on Monday around 9:50 a.m. The mall and the area around it is restricted due to the demolition project that is ongoing at the site.

Troopers said the public is reminded that people found on the property will be charged with trespass and that surveillance cameras are in place.
