Inmate charged after leaving camp

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Raymond Collazo, 33, an inmate at FCI Schuylkill Federal Prison Camp, was indicted on Feb. 19, by a federal grand jury for escaping from custody.

According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, the indictment alleges that Collazo absconded from the prison camp at FCI Schuylkill, Minersville, on March 15, 2018. He has since returned to custody.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Marshals Service and by officers with FCI Schuylkill. Assistant United States Attorney Phillip J. Caraballo is prosecuting the case.
