Jim Thorpe community watch meetings announced
The Jim Thorpe community watch meetings for the year have been announced. The meetings are held at Memorial Hall and begin at 7 p.m. The meetings will be held on the following dates and with the following special guests and topics:
March 21: Katya Fitzpatrick, reporting on the news
April 18: Carbon County sheriff’s department, civil process
May 16: Chief Joseph Schatz, active shooter training
June 20: Officer Cory Bentzoni, Pennsylvania game commission
Aug. 15: Carbon County Judge Joseph Matika
Sept. 19: Carbon County 911, understanding the 911 process
Oct. 17: End of year awards night
