Jim Thorpe high school orientation is scheduled

Jim Thorpe Area High School will hold an orientation from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Aug. 23 in the high school commons for students who are new to the district in grades 9 through 12. Students’ parents or guardians are also invited to attend.

At this orientation, students, parents and guardians will have the opportunity to meet students who currently attend the high school, have any questions answered and participate in a tour of the school.

An orientation for students entering ninth grade who are currently in the district will begin at 1 p.m. and will last approximately an hour and a half.
