JT’s Schwartz to attend Ursinus
Jim Thorpe senior Will Schwartz will continue his academic and athletic career at Ursinus College.
A four-year member of the Olympians varsity wrestling team, competing at both 106 and 113 pounds, Schwartz posted a career record of 77-64. He also finished with 35 pins and eight technical falls.
The future Bear was a three-year captain at Thorpe and was a First Team Times News all-star selection a year ago.
At districts, Schwartz placed fourth as a junior and third as a senior, and also qualified for regionals twice. He captured a Schuylkill League title this season after placing fourth as a junior.
The son of Brian and Kathy Schwartz, Will is also involved in other school activities, including: National Honor Society, Student Council President, Yearbook Editor, Student Forum, Future Business Leaders of America, and Student Against Destructive Decisions.
