Jim Thorpe inducts 1969 football team
The 1969 Jim Thorpe High School varsity football team was recently inducted into the Jim Thorpe Sports Hall of Fame. The team had a 6-2 record and captured the Panther Valley/Carbon County Championship. Team members who attended the recent banquet were, seated, from left, Robert Gigliotti, Allen Heydt, Walter Schlenner, George Lazorick, Patrick Crowley and August Long.
