JT honors football seniors, hands out awards
Seniors from the Jim Thorpe football team were honored recently. They included, front row from left, Ethan Melber, Justin St. Hill, Nicholas Rosahac, Trevor Keefer; back row, Daniel Eggert, Bryan Dinterman, Lucas Boyle, Jason Scott, Shawn O’Toole, Stephen James and Alexander Hauck. Other seniors were Cedric Smith, Isiah Ventura and Deljuan Jenkins.
The Jim Thorpe team recently honored its award winners from this past season. Those honored included, from left, Kendall Herron (Ed “Fuzzy Fahey Award, which goes to a sophomore and recognizes dedication and work ethic), Nicholas Rosahac (Scholar Athlete), Jason Scott (Phil Heraty Award, which goes to a player for overcoming adversity and injury), Justin St. Hill (Offensive MVP), Lucas Boyle (Lineman of the Year), Colin Jacobs (Defensive MVP), Trevor Keefer (Sportsmanship Award) and Jarrin Geisinger (Special Teams MVP).
Jim Thorpe recently honored their senior football players and named several award winners.
The Olympians posted a 10-2 record this past season, including a victory in the district playoffs.
