Kidder Library hosts Native American program

Published October 25. 2017 11:47AM

The Penn-Kidder Library & Visitor Center will host Josh Kuchs, a local Native American from the Lenape tribe.

He will be discussing important issues such as the environment and drug abuse, and how they affect our everyday lives.

The event, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, is being sponsored by Liz Giles and the Friends of the Penn-Kidder Library.

The Friends will be serving authentic tribal foods for a donation. Arts and crafts will be available for everyone.

The Penn-Kidder Library Center is open six days a week, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday through Saturday.

The library is open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and 4-6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursdays.

The all-volunteer library accepts one bag of used books per visitor each week.

The library also accepts small household items which we sell to support the library.

New volunteers are always welcome. For more information, call the library at 570-722-0300.
