Kunkletown woman charged in child’s death
District Attorney Jim Martin announced that Delilah Reader, 35, of Streamside Street, Kunkletown, Monroe County, has been charged with murder of the third degree, in relation to the death of a child.
The charges come after a grand jury reviewed the case.
It is alleged that on or about Dec. 6, 2007, Delilah Reader was the sole caregiver of Angelina Tomas, at that time a 10-month-old child, and on that morning, Reader caused a traumatic brain injury to the child. That injury resulted in developmental delays, cognitive and learning impairments, physical disabilities, and a seizure disorder, the latter of which caused Angelina Tomas’ death in 2015.
