Lansford historical society events for October 2018
The Lansford Historical Society announces events for October. It will be a busy month at the museum.
Friday: 2-4 p.m., Coaldale native Daniel Urban comes to the museum to promote his book, “Grow Up Already”
Oct. 20: 6 p.m., Spiritseekers, a paranormal group from Montgomery County, will be at the museum for a 45-minute presentation and Q-and-A session. A tour of reputed haunted areas of Lansford will then take place. All are welcome to come along and participate.
Oct. 25: 6 p.m., Bob Vybrenner of Tamaqua returns to the museum to give a presentation on 19th and 20th century funeral and burial customs.
A reminder that the museum is open from 6-8 p.m. every Thursday and from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays. It is located at 117 E. Bertsch St. and admission to the museum is always free.
