Lansford Police seeking three suspects in attack

The Lansford Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find three young men who attacked a man and tried to rob him in the borough Monday night.

Police said at 6:40 p.m. they received a report about the three men, described as 18 years old. Two of them are 6 feet tall, and one is slightly taller. All were wearing dark hoodies and half-face masks.

During this incident the taller subject supposedly used a knife and slashed at the victim, a 30-year-old man. The victim was able to defend himself and fight off the suspects. The victim suffered apparent defensive lacerations and was taken to St. Luke’s Miners for treatment.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call Lansford police at 570-325-9111.

Anyone with cameras in the area of Powell and Kline, Abbott and Powell, the 200 and 300 block of East Kline or the vicinity of Powell and Kline is also urged to contact police.
